September 1 2016 Challenge Inspiration and Anniversary Celebration Launch

Hello friends!

For the month of September we will be celebrating the Stuck?! Sketches community (YOU), the joy we all share over the craft of scrapbooking, and the inspiration we gain from each other month after month.

What better way is there to start commemorating our common love of creativity and storytelling than with lots of extra scrappy fun? Join our design team and some of our sponsors as we share lots and lots of inspiration with you this month!

We are fortunate to be able to offer extra prizes for both of our challenges this month! Read below to learn about our sponsors for our September 1st challenge.

Later this month we will be having a blog hop with some of our design team and some of the Clique Kits team, they are offering a free September kit to be given away to one of our lucky hoppers!  They also sent some of our team members a kit to play with for our hop reveal! We are so thankful to them for joining up with us! Watch for details on our joint hop later this month!

Crafters on the Memory Works forum observing losses of numerous pillars of the scrapbooking world both online and in brick and mortar, led us to believe that other scrapbookers would welcome a chance to continue to pursue their hobby if there was a way to acquire a variety of new, trendy products conveniently and economically! As a result of much brainstorming (still ongoing) with a focus on less consumerism, more sharing, supporting others in creative small businesses, and preserving not just our memories but our planet for the next generation, Clique Kits was born!

Currently, Clique Kits spans from Europe to Australia and across the U.S.A. and has grown into this business from "our basements". The name Clique Kits is a play on the word "Click" for the sound our cameras make recording memories, and is also a tongue in cheek metaphor for our ever-widening circle of friends who are anything BUT clique-y. This outlet lets us share our passion for memory keeping through our kits, blog, and social media community and is always friendly and supportive. Together with our design team, we strive to inspire our members and friends with tutorials, creative inspiration, articles, videos, inspirational blog shares, and much more! In our first year we have quadrupled our membership and sold hundreds of limited edition kits in addition to our often unique school store products sourced from the indie, handmade, and fair trade markets. We now have over 4000 Facebook fans and our interactive community online continues growing. Read more about our mission and philosophy here. You can also read more about the current Clique Kits Leadership Team and we welcome you to contact us with questions or feedback at any time!

AND Lawn Fawn, who are also sponsoring this challenge, offering a 6x6 paper pad and stamp set of the winner's choice, to a second lucky participant!

We’re a small company from Southern California that specializes in crafting products that are fun and lively. Since beginning in March 2010 with four stamp sets, we have grown our collection to more than 130 sets! We have also introduced lots of new products along the way... paper, twine, and dies, just to name a few.
Our products feature original designs that range from versatile basics (we love alphabets and polka dots) to fun and quirky (yay for yetis!) and everything in between. And of course, we use the highest quality photo-polymer for our stamps, FSC certified paper, and 100% steel for our dies.

ALSO, We want to show you how much we appreciate that you play along with us and share your designs and talent with us so we will be choosing one scrapbooker from each challenge to guest with us at a later date! For example, our chosen scrapbooker from our September 1st challenge will guest for our November 1st challenge!

Here is the sketch for this challenge.

As always we have a guest designer joining us. Please help us welcome Lisa Moen to our September 1st challenge!!

I will let Lisa tell you a bit about herself....

"Hello! I am excited to be guest designing here this month!

My hubby, Greg, and I live in central Wisconsin along with our 2 children. Sierra, 18, who just left for college a few days ago, and Austin, 17, who is a junior in high school. We have a yellow lab named Bender, who is finally starting to slow down with age. These 4 are the subjects of most of my layouts.

I work in the kitchen at school and enjoy having most of my summer off, which means more scrappy time!

I have been scrapping for over 19 years now and still enjoy it as much as I did from day one! You can find more of my work on my blog: http://lisasscrappyhideaway.blogspot.com/

Thank you Laura for having me this month. I am truly honored!"

Here is Lisa's layout based on our sketch.

Thank you for joining us Lisa!

Now lets have a look at a few pages created by some of our talented design team:

Please link up your layouts over in the sidebar by September 29th at midnight EST to be in the running for one of our prizes!   All prizes will be drawn randomly using Random.org to pick a number.

When linking your layouts, please make sure it is linked to the specific post your layout is in, not your blog as a whole as it can be hard for our team to find your layout, especially if you blog often. You can also link from any gallery including Facebook and Flickr. (Though we may not be able to comment in all forums.)

Feel free to combine this sketch challenge with other non-sketch challenges, such as colour challenges.

Please post a link back to Stuck?! Sketches on your blog entry for our challenge.  We would also love for you to share the sketch, too!

Be sure to stop in OFTEN this month as we have loads going on! Thank you for visiting, we cannot wait to see what you create!
Laura
xoxo
